Bio Highlights:

Recorded 80 CD's to date including 6 with Max Roach, 4 with Pat Martino, 5 with Odean Pope, and 5 with Grover Washington Jr., 2 of which reached Gold Status. Received Certificate in Orchestration and Modern Harmony from the Berklee School of Music, Boston, Mass. Studied Bass with Michael Shahan of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Received Fellowship Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts for the production of a video performance of original works. Conducted Master Classes in Jerusalem, Israel and Barcelona, Spain. Also conducted Improvisation Symposiums at Brigham Young University, Temple University, and Illinois State University. Performed Solo Bass Concert at the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Moers Germany Jazz Festival with six thousand people in attendance May 25, 1996. Guest Artist with the Philadelphia Orchestra January 18, 1999. Also performed with Dizzy Gillespie, Rachelle Ferrell, J.J. Johnson, Benny Golson, Steve Marcus, Etta Jones, Sonny fortune, Kenny Barron, Phil Woods, Cecil Bridgewater, Donald Byrd, Mulgrew Miller, Lou Rawls, Nat Adderly, Clark Terry, Johnny Hartman, Sam Rivers, Sir Roland Hanna and many others. Touring and recording with MAX ROACH since 1984. Also touring and recording with the TYRONE BROWN STRING SEXTET, featuring Jazz violinist John Blake, recorded 2 CD's to date: EMERALD VALLEY/Moers Label ... release date pending, and SONG OF THE SUN/Naxos label ... released January 2000.
